Digital Press Operator

About the Role

The Digital Press Operator/Die Cutter will set-up, operate and maintain HP Indigo digital press and die cutting machine, producing a product that meets our business and customers’ needs while maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

• Follow daily press schedule
• Verify that all required paperwork is complete and accurate
• Well planned out set-up and changeovers ensuring that all components for producing product are at press/diecutter so job is completely ready to produce from set-up through clean-up
• Monitors the printing process to maintain print quality, minimize downtime and wasted consumables (time and material)
• Performs daily maintenance on schedule and according to procedure
• Performs adjustments accurately to minimize unexpected downtime and maintenance calls
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area
• Keeps supervisor updated on any troubleshooting issues

• High school diploma or equivalent GED; vocational technical education preferred
• 4-color process experience preferred
• Working knowledge of prepress process
• Good knowledge and understanding of computer preferred

• Requires flexible schedule to balance work hours with production needs
• Good working knowledge of rotary tooling and prepress process
• Ability to evaluate printing quality and able to produce and interpret colors accurately
• Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively – requires an analytical approach to problem solving
• Good manual dexterity and mechanical abilities
• Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with internal and external customers
• Ability to read and understand job ticket
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
