Produce Packer Tomato

Overview

Job Summary:

The Produce Packer is responsible for helping to assemble and prepare products for packaging and shipment. Their duties include placing raw materials or products into manufacturing machines to aid the assembly process, packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments and completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production.

• Compensation: $16.37 per hour
• Schedule: Shift starts at 6:30am. Full-time employees are scheduled a recurring four-day schedule Monday - Saturday. We do not have set end times to these packaging shifts, so candidates who are open to their shift ending times will be preferred. Opportunities for overtime!

• Grade, classify, and sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications and package accordingly.
• Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
• Remove defects, such as scarred or bruised products.
• Work in a clean, organized and safe manner.

• Ability to stand on the production floor for 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to distinguish color for grading produce.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment.

• Previous work in a processing or warehouse environment
