Job Title
Production Lead 1st shift (Flexible Start Time)
Job SummaryThis position reports to the Assembly Supervisor in the Manufacturing Modules Department and is responsible for providing work direction, ensuring assembly employees are properly trained, meeting production and quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
Compensation & ConditionsSalary: $60,000 - $66,000 per year
Shift: First (8 AM – 4 PM)
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities- Follow safety guidelines and report all safety concerns; take action to address unsafe conditions immediately when possible.
- Direct priorities and workflow to employees within their specific area/line to reach production schedule attainment and ensure adequate employee coverage; inform the Production Supervisor of any employee absences and schedule weekend overtime when required.
- Coordinate training and development for new and existing employees to cultivate high‑performing teams.
- Ensure quality requirements and standards are met or exceeded; recommend operational changes when necessary.
- Interface with Quality, Engineering, Technicians, and Supervisors regarding PDR’s, MRR’s, and other quality‑related issues; support the processing and resolution of these issues.
- Assess daily machine performance and notify Supervisor and Process Engineering of any equipment malfunctions or problems that are impeding production.
- Cultivate and drive continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with supervisor and the team.
- Facilitate teamwork while being a resource for employees to clarify questions and offer insight.
- Monitor and approve employee time & attendance records in the timekeeping system (Centrally HR).
- Utilize the ERP (INFOR) system to manage manufacturing work orders and complete them as scheduled.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in an electronic‑mechanical assembly environment.
- Experience working with PCBAs and assembly of electronic components.
- Knowledge of IPC J-STD and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and principles.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, motivating, and scheduling skills.
