As our Manufacturing Technician, you will work closely with the Engineering team and our production group, learning about our unique products and core capabilities. Your responsibilities include supporting our processes in manufacturing operations.
Qualifications & Requirements- Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills on various pieces of manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of automation controls and PLCs is desirable.
- Ability to manage an equipment database for preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to support process, manufacturing, and design engineering functions.
- Desired skills:
Knowledge of housing & connector assembly design, materials, components, processes, and electrical/mechanical testing and regulatory approvals; excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Identify and investigate operational problems affecting production, report and recommend solutions.
- Support safety initiatives.
- Promote a culture of 5S organization.
- Maintain productivity and efficiency by effectively training production staff on manufacturing/assembly processes and methods; ensure written processes translate into efficient and reliable production and recommend changes to Engineering as required.
- Continuously seek ways to simplify operations, invest and/or rationalize costs.
- Help diagnose production equipment issues and suggest improvements.
- Support and perform preventative maintenance.
- Actively participate internally and externally on NPI projects, Engineering requirements, RMAs, CARs, and production.
- Collect KPI data and communicate performance regularly to other staff.
Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $41,600 - $62,400. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors that Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
