Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for a metal manufacturing / die casting company in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you’ll support efficient production by setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC and dedicated equipment in a team-focused manufacturing environment. This role involves supporting efficient production by setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC and dedicated equipment.

• Set up, operate, and tear down CNC and dedicated equipment using approved processes
• Troubleshoot equipment, programs, and tooling issues to minimize downtime
• Edit and adjust CNC programs, offsets, and tool changes in collaboration with Engineering
• Read and interpret prints, SPC data, CMM results, and GD&T specifications
• Support process improvements, DOEs, and new project development
• Perform daily production work to ensure parts meet quality and accuracy standards
• Provide leadership and direction when the supervisor is unavailable

• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience in a machine shop or similar environment
• Strong skills in CNC setup, troubleshooting, and program editing
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T_META
• Experience analyzing inspection data (CMM, SPC, process studies)
• Vocational or technical training in precision machining preferred
• Ability to work independently and support team goals
• Reliable transportation to the Minneapolis facility
• Ability to follow all safety, environmental, and quality requirements #metro careers
