Position Summary
Reporting to, and under the guidance of the Department Supervisor, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for scheduling work, assisting with employee selection, reviewing employee performance, and adhering to and supporting Company policies. Manages a shift or multi-department area. Responsible for training and development of employees. Responsible for managing department productivity and work quality. Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, process modifications and may recommend product or service modifications.
Responsibilities may extend to overall facilities security and maintenance.
Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks
- Promotes continuous improvement through Harmonized Manufacturing practices.
- Reads and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production appropriate requirements.
- Works towards Corporate goals of on-time delivery, productivity and quality and embraces customer satisfaction and promotes to employees.
- Plans and establishes work schedules of employees to meet production goals.
- Works with Shift Supervisor or appropriate management to resolve employee issues and complaints.
- Responsible for employee reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Diligently monitors budget to ensure department spending does not surpass monthly budget.
- Responsible for Inventory/Material Control.
- Leads by example and promotes cultural expectations related to Harmonized
- Manufacturing and all company policies.
- Resource for multiple shifts within department.
- May be responsible for Supervisor I responsibilities as needed or required.
- All other duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate when there are language barriers - to read, to write and to comprehend verbal instructions including safety, work instruction and various training, etc. - Decision Making Skills ~ Definition:
Makes decisions authoritatively and wisely, after adequately contemplating various available courses of action. Is aware of the personal prejudices, biases and experiences can have impact on making decisions; guards against allowing these factors to influence decisions. - Planning & Organization / Time Management ~ Definition:
Effectively managing one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completed. Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within are of responsibility and establishes a methodical course of action for self and others to ensure accomplishments of a specific objective. Sets priorities, goals and time tables to achieve them. - Strategic Leadership & Results Driven ~ Definition:
Sets goals and maintains high performance standards for self and others and motivates them to translate ideas into actions and results that support the company's strategic initiatives. Holds self and others accountable for achieving results. Shows a passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvements. - Talent Management & Team Leadership (includes coaching, conflict management, motivation, people leadership) ~ Definition:
