Walman Optical, part of Essilor Luxottica, seeks an Associate Production Technician for our Optical Surfacing BPARK shop. This is a full‑time, overnight (11 p.m.–7 a.m.) position located in Minneapolis, MN
.

General Function
The Associate Technician is responsible for the set‑up, operation, and basic maintenance of equipment within the assigned area for surface or finish portions of lab production.

• Perform various tasks of area production machine functions
• Interpret Rx work ticket
• Perform production operations on specified equipment in accordance with established procedures
• Perform basic/routine maintenance of assigned equipment
• Diagnose mal‑functioning equipment and advise supervisor of possible remedy
• Specific tasks include: lens wash, tool selection/replacement, equipment set‑up for daily production, equipment clean‑up at day’s end, preparing solutions or slurry mixtures, daily and weekly calibration of equipment, effective communication with laboratory staff, maintaining a clean work environment, following company and laboratory policies, complying with safety rules, providing training and technical guidance to less experienced employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Strong multi‑tasking ability, orientation toward detail, and ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic high‑school level math skills
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds

Pay Range: $16.75 per hour plus shift differential; more for experience. The company may offer a competitive bonus and/or commission plan. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
