Job SummaryThis position reports to the Assembly Supervisor in our Manufacturing Modules Department and is responsible for providing work direction, ensuring assembly employees are properly trained, meeting production and quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Follows safety guidelines and reports all safety concerns. Take action to address unsafe conditions immediately when possible.
- Directs priorities and workflow to employees within their specific area/line as needed to reach production schedule attainment and ensures there is adequate employee coverage. Informs the Production Supervisor of any employee absences during the shift and schedules weekend overtime when required.
- Coordinates training and development for new and existing employees to cultivate high performing teams.
- Ensures quality requirements and standards are met or exceeded. Recommends operational changes when necessary.
- Interfaces with Quality, Engineering, Technicians, and Supervisor regarding PDR’s, MRR’s, and other quality related issues and provides support in the processing and resolution of these issues.
- Assess daily machine performance and notifies Supervisor and Process Engineering of any equipment malfunctions or problems that are impeding production.
- Cultivates and drives continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with supervisor and the team.
- Facilitates teamwork while being a resource for employees to clarify questions and offer insight.
- Monitors and approves employee time & attendance records in timekeeping system (Centrally HR).
- Utilizes ERP (INFOR) system to manage manufacturing work orders and complete as scheduled.
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of labor hours in ERP (Factory Track), makes certain all appropriate production activities are captured and required paperwork is being completed according to Micro Control processes.
- Leads efforts to maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Ensures activities are aligned with company policies.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of related manufacturing experience.
- Strong attention to details.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Proactive mindset.
- Ability to read and understand basic work instructions. Strong ability to understand complex prints and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent leadership, proactive, interpersonal, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with ERP (INFOR), Excel and Outlook e-mail.
- Experience working in an electronic-mechanical assembly environment.
- Experience working with PCBA’s and assembly, electronic components, surface mount.
- Knowledge of IPC J-STD and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience in a Lead role.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and principles.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, good hand dexterity, and periodically crouch, stretch, stoop, bend, or reach across all planes.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Including close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts, accurate placement of fine pitch devices and defects.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/or move material weighing up to 60 pounds (0 - 33 % of time).
- May be exposed to moderate - high noise levels for short amounts of time. Noise levels average around 60 decibels and intermittently reach 90 decibels when working near large machinery (hearing protection required).
