Summary

The Controller will be a key player with the plant management team, providing analysis and insights to guide decision‑making and challenge the plant to improve financial performance. This role leads the accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely financial accounting, reporting, and compliance for the entire plant and business.

$130,000 - $150,000 a year

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cash management.
• Direct and coordinate annual budget and quarterly forecasting functions; monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
• Establish and maintain cost‑accounting standards for all inventory items.
• Manage the hiring, training, and performance management of the department staff.
• Prepare all financial reports, historical and future forecasts in accordance with US GAAP.
• Work with other department leadership to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Develop and periodically update short‑ and long‑term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Serve on resource allocation committees and other company committees as needed.
• Manage financial and tax audits and recommend procedural improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory reporting requirements.
• Maintain a food‑safe work environment and act promptly if safety is compromised.
