Brief Description
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's high-value accounts. They will identify key influencers and stakeholders, establish new relationships, and nurture existing relationships with the goal of generating more revenue from our key accounts. This position reports to the Strategic Account Executive. This is an in‑office position located in Bloomington, MN.
Responsibilities and Duties- Key Account Management
- Management of programs from key customers from RFQ/PO to end of life.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in strategic assigned customer accounts
- Quoting/Opportunity review
- Responsible for communicating key customer programs throughout all departments
- Relay VOC back to marketing/engineering for new product capabilities
- Routine reporting on performance/plans/forecasts for key accounts
- Support the Sales Forecasting Process
- Multi-variable forecasting
- Based on historical information
- Real‑time forecasting
- Interface with customers regarding all aspects of a program.
- Travel to key customers will be required as driven by the program.
- Serve as liaison with All Flex regarding customer issues related to a specific situation.
- Responsible for ensuring the product meets customer timelines, quality expectations, and internal profitability measures.
- Participate in meetings with other Engineers, Area Supervisors, Sales, and other staff relative to application of consolidated knowledge and experience to promptly resolve problems, processes, drawings, design, specifications, materials, quality, etc.
- Respect the confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math or Science or equivalent work experience.
- Prefer 5‑8 years of product and/or manufacturing experience with flex circuits, flex heaters, or circuit board industry related engineering or applied sciences.
- 10+ years of experience managing large (>$1M) accounts.
- Knowledge and understanding of concepts, contents and application of ISO 9000 is helpful.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, production, mechanical and quality concepts and application including Lean Manufacturing, SPC and Total QC.
- Must be a problem solver with an investigative spirit, attention to detail, well organized and the ability to question and work within a team environment.
- Must possess excellent communication skills in the English language - both written and verbal.
- Work is indoors in a climate‑controlled office or in the production area.
- Visits to customers/suppliers may be required on occasion which may involve travel by auto and use of a company vehicle. Some additional travel may be required.
- Work or presence on the plant floor may be exposed to possible hazardous conditions. Proper safety equipment is provided, and its use is mandatory.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Be in attendance at work for the hours scheduled, gives advance notice of days away from work, and keeps unscheduled absences to a minimum.
- Complete work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other co‑workers and management.
- Understand All Flex’s Quality Policy and implement it in all processes.
