Senior Project Manager

Overview

Renewyx Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, scheduling, design coordination, procurement oversight, and construction support for commercial solar projects ranging from 500 kW to 25 MW. The role manages the full project lifecycle from post-contracting through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, materials, and subcontractors are aligned at every stage. The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial solar or commercial construction, deep understanding of project scheduling, excellent subcontractor management skills, and the ability to oversee multiple large projects simultaneously while supporting and mentoring the broader project management team.

• Lead the planning, scheduling, design coordination, procurement oversight, and construction support for commercial solar projects ranging from 500 kW to 25 MW.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from post-contracting through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, materials, and subcontractors are aligned at every stage.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, construction, procurement, and sales teams to drive project execution and operational excellence.
• Mentor and support the broader project management team while supervising internal PM staff as needed.

• 3+ years of experience in project management of commercial/industrial (C&I) and utility-scale solar projects
• Strong project scheduling skills, ideally using critical path method
• Experience overseeing subcontractors, materials, budgets, and construction operations
• Ability to develop scopes, negotiate contracts, review documents, and manage subcontractor performance
• Knowledge of solar construction, permitting, inspections, and commercial field operations
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Salesforce, Net Suite, or similar project tools
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to supervise and mentor internal project management staff
• Preferred certifications: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, PMP, NABCEP
