North Star Commercial Real Estate Advisors is launching a commercial property management division to complement and expand our brokerage platform. This is not a plug-and-play role. We are seeking a seasoned Property Manager who wants real support to grow, clear authority
, and the opportunity to design, lead, and scale a best-in-class operation from the ground up.

The OpportunityThis is a foundational leadership role
. You will take responsibility for a growing portfolio while simultaneously building the systems, standards, and structure required to scale. Success in this role will be measured by performance, efficiency, clarity, and results — not activity or tenure.
- Oversee a portfolio of office, retail, industrial, and multifamily assets with full accountability for performance.
- Design and implement scalable systems for property operations, accounting coordination, maintenance workflows, and vendor management.
- Establish and manage vendor standards, service-level expectations, and cost controls
. - Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and tenants, ensuring professional communication, responsiveness, and financial discipline.
- Partner closely with ownership on budgets, reporting, KPIs, and growth strategy
. - Identify inefficiencies, eliminate bottlenecks, and continuously improve operations as the portfolio scales.
- Help define hiring needs, role clarity, and processes as the division grows.
- Properties are run cleanly, predictably, and profitably
. - Owners experience clarity, transparency, and confidence
. - Systems are documented, repeatable, and scalable.
- Issues are surfaced early and solved decisively.
- The platform is positioned to grow beyond a single market.
- 5+ years of commercial property management experience (industrial, office, retail, or mixed-use).
- Strong command of leases, budgets, CAM reconciliations, vendor contracts, and maintenance coordination
. - Proven ability to build or improve systems
, not just operate within them. - Entrepreneurial mindset — you take initiative, own outcomes, and don’t wait for permission to solve problems.
- Comfortable in an environment with high standards, clear accountability, and direct communication
