Role SummaryAs a Project Executive, you will provide leadership and oversight of day‑to‑day operations for all construction, project management, and project administration activities related to the K‑12 education market. You will manage teams of Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Support staff, drive new business, and develop and implement corporate initiatives and standard operating procedures to support Knutson’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Knutson’s Zero Incident safety culture, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal partners.
- Control financial and business performance, including budgeting, cost control and profit management.
- Oversee subcontractor, trade services, and construction operations, ensuring quality, schedule, and safety compliance.
- Provide technical guidance on constructability, legal and liability issues, risk analysis, and dispute resolution.
- Manage quality control, schedule management, and design‑phase execution.
- Lead staffing decisions, performance reviews, and compensation discussions in partnership with Operations and General Management.
- Drive new opportunities and pursue K‑12 projects, collaborating with Business Development to build a consistent pipeline.
- Participate in community and industry events; represent Knutson at career fairs and networking functions.
- Complete scheduled safety training and other company‑mandated training.

- Extensive Construction Manager as Advisor (CMA) experience.
- Existing K‑12 relationships and network.
- Four‑year Construction Science/Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 10‑15 years of responsibility for the total execution of large K‑12 construction projects and referendums.
- Advanced experience in estimating, accounting, project administration, sustainability, and industry best practices.
- Experience managing Superintendents, Project Managers, and Project Support staff.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Competitive base salary ($167K‑$261K).
