Position: ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Duties The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position, the primary purpose of the position is to perform ordnance equipment mechanic duties encompassing requirements and responsibilities from all duty sections within a munitions storage area. The position also maintains home station readiness and trains reservists in the accomplishment of these tasks. DUTIES:
1. Munitions Inspection:
Performs surveillance inspection duties IAW TO 11A-1-10 on all munitions stock, issued and returned custody munitions, and inspects and certifies munitions residue and Munitions Potentially Presenting Explosives Hazard (MPPEH) turned-in to the stock record account to determine serviceability, potential hazards, and accountability.
2. Conventional Munitions Maintenance (CMM):
Assembles/Disassembles, performs maintenance/test & repair, handles and transports ammunition, rockets, unguided and guided weapons and countermeasures, demolition material, and other types of conventional ordnance.
3. Accountability:
Implements management controls for munitions assets, records munitions transactions, and manages allocations, stock levels, inventories, requisition, and disposition of munitions. Displays proficiency in munitions materiel accounting systems, mathematics, policies and procedures for accountability and financial liability.
4. Munitions Storage:
Warehouses munitions stocks, maintains storage area infrastructure and facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure mission support. Develops and maintains a master storage plan to manage storage space utilization, identify inbound asset storage locations, control of authorized structure net explosive weight and authorized compatibility.
5. Line Delivery:
Stores, handles, and transports ammunition, rockets, unguided and guided weapons, countermeasures, demolition material, and other types of conventional ordnance. Configures Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE) for mission support based off flying schedule/BOS supported taskings.
6. Munitions Support Equipment:
Performs and certifies, armament and support equipment serviceability inspection. Maintains and repairs MMHE for all work orders assigned to maintenance actions. Performs assigned periodic inspections on equipment.
7. Munitions Controller/Combat Plans and Mobility. Munitions control is the focal point for planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling munitions activities. Command and control of munitions operations by directing, coordinating, and monitoring ongoing scheduled and non-scheduled munitions activities. Requirements Conditions of employment

* AFSC: 2W0X1 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-6600 - Armament Work Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
