Job OverviewPosition: Maintenance Technician
Seniorities Level: Entry level
Employment Type: Full‑time, hourly
Location: Minneapolis, MN (North Loop neighborhood)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 40 hours a week, plus on‑call rotation biweekly
Compensation: $24 per hour;
Base pay range: $23.00 /hr – $25.00 /hr
- Troubleshoot work orders daily for residents, prioritizing service requests and ensuring timely completion.
- Prepare vacant units for new residents to meet company standards and checklist.
- Maintain exterior grounds and conduct seasonal duties such as snow removal or pool maintenance.
- Conduct walk‑through of the entire property to ensure everything is working; take corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare for inspections under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer or Property Manager.
- Schedule outside contractors for projects, when necessary under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer or Property Manager.
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.) as needed.
- Schedule and execute annual inspections required on the property (fire extinguishers, life‑safety systems, elevator, etc.) as mandated by city or state.
- Attend staff meetings and complete virtual trainings as required or requested.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Engineer or Property Manager.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of hand tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent time management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read, write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong personal skills to interact with tenants.
- Valid driver's license.
- Hourly Rate: $24 per hour.
