Janitor; On Call

JANITOR (ON CALL)

Location:

7000 Central Avenue Northeast, Minneapolis, MN 55432. (Office only; online applications accepted only.)

On‑call:
Monday through Friday. Hours may vary; details to be discussed during interview.

Minimum:
Previous janitor or custodial experience preferred. Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Fixed rate: $20.65 per hour.

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning, then place furniture back in correct location.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment; sanitizes all surfaces and follows an eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Identify areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
