Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
OverviewOur client, a highly respected Minneapolis law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting attorneys in a fast‑paced, professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented, proactive legal support professional looking to join a stable team known for collaboration, professionalism, and long‑term employee retention.
Key Responsibilities Attorney & Practice Support- Provide daily administrative and legal support to assigned attorneys, including document preparation, scheduling, and correspondence management
- Draft, revise, and format legal documents such as pleadings, agreements, letters, and memoranda
- Assist with file management, record organization, and document tracking across multiple matters
- Coordinate deadlines, maintain attorney calendars, and manage docketing tasks as needed
- Conduct light legal research and support case preparation tasks
- Serve as a professional and responsive point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
- Manage intake, conflict checks, and engagement documentation
- Prepare, organize, and maintain case files, exhibits, binders, and discovery materials
- Process expense reports, time entry, and billing assistance
- Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics
- Support firm‑wide administrative initiatives where needed
- 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or legal administrative professional (law firm experience strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple attorneys with competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize in a deadline‑driven environment
- Professionalism, discretion, and a client‑service mindset
Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
