Overview

Personal Injury Attorney — Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN

Direct Counsel is partnering with a growing and highly respected law firm to identify a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join its expanding legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a meaningful role in the firm’s continued growth and geographic expansion.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling personal injury matters from pre-suit through litigation, a client-first mindset, and the ability to deliver high-quality legal representation while maintaining a trial-ready approach.

Compensation

This position offers a negotiable base salary starting at $150,000+, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and related claims.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of personal injury cases, with a strong emphasis on pre-suit operations and litigation strategy.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and file legal documents such as demands, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout every stage of their case.
  • Work closely with expert witnesses for case evaluations, reports, affidavits, and testimony preparation.
  • Negotiate favorable settlements while balancing risk assessment and maintaining trial readiness.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active and good standing member of the Minnesota Bar.
  • Minimum of 4 years of personal injury experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a strong client-advocacy focus.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy abilities.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and legal research tools.
