Midwest Market Director | Legal Staffing at Adams & Martin Group

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join a busy law firm in Downtown Minneapolis. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a hybrid work model initially, with the potential to transition to fully remote after successful onboarding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and filing U.S. and international patent applications.
  • Managing docketing and tracking deadlines.
  • Drafting and filing responses, assignments, declarations, and other patent-related documents.
  • Coordinating with foreign associates for international filings.
  • Conducting prior art searches and preparing disclosure submissions.
  • Maintaining patent portfolios and generating client reports.
  • Communicating with clients, inventors, and patent offices.
  • Reviewing and processing official correspondence from patent offices.
  • Performing additional IP-related support tasks as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of patent prosecution experience, preferably in a law firm.
    • Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal/Paralegal Studies (preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of USPTO and international filing procedures.
    • Experience with docketing software (e.g., CPI, Anaqua) and legal research tools.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IP management platforms.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong commitment to client service and confidentiality.
