Tax Associate - Minneapolis

Overview

Dorsey seeks a Tax associate to join the Tax, Trusts & Estates group in our Minneapolis office. This associate will work on a wide range of transactional and controversy matters. Transactional matters include structuring and forming business and investment entities and advising on tax issues in mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, restructurings, and securities offerings. Controversy matters include federal, state, local and tribal tax controversy matters relating to individual and corporate income, sales and use, and other types of tax at various procedural levels, including the examination phase, administrative appeals, litigation and collection actions.

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school

• Minnesota bar admission

One to three years of experience as a tax attorney is preferred.

For Minneapolis applicants only, the salary range for this position is $200,000 - $225,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable-hours track with a proportional reduction in salary. Associates eligible to participate in Dorsey's associate bonus program, subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
