Overview
Messerli Kramer is a leading law firm in the Twin Cities founded in 1965 with locations in Minneapolis, St. Michael, St. Paul, and Plymouth, Minnesota. Our clients trust us to help them navigate the myriad of legal issues that confront them in their business and personal lives.
Responsibilities- Case Management:
Organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining internal databases. (Everlaw) - Document Preparation:
Drafting and formatting pleadings, discovery and legal memoranda, motions, subpoenas, contracts and other legal documents. - E-Discovery:
Managing document collection, review and production in both physical and electronic form. - Client and Witness Support:
Liaising with clients for information, jury selection, preparing witnesses, and coordinating with outside counsel/experts. - Trial Prep:
Organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and assisting attorneys in court. - Legal Research:
Conducting research to support legal arguments and collect factual research and records. - Project Management:
Other projects/work as needed across other practice groups to assist with their litigation needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of paralegal experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong writing and communication skills
- E-Discovery knowledge required. Everlaw software preferred or similar tools
- Operates with a high degree of accuracy with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities while respecting tight deadlines
- Proven ability to establish professional working relationships with colleagues and external clients
