Description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our client in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to support legal cases, with a focus on personal injury and workers' compensation matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. This is a Contract role with a potential for Contract to Hire.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings and motions in both federal and state courts.

- Manage case calendars by tracking important deadlines and ensuring timely submissions.

- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.

- Conduct legal research and assist in trial preparation for personal injury and workers' compensation cases.

- Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and compile evidence.

- Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

- Utilize legal document management systems and e-discovery platforms effectively.

- Support trial proceedings by coordinating logistics and preparing necessary materials.

- Ensure compliance with all legal protocols and procedures.

- Contribute to a positive work environment by upholding firm values of respect and trust.

Requirements

- 2+ years' experience in supporting cases within federal and state courts, including trial preparation.

- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

- Proficiency in legal document management systems and e-discovery platforms.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

- Familiarity with personal injury and workers' compensation law.

- Commitment to plaintiff-side legal work and advocacy.

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, court personnel, and colleagues.

- Proactive approach to managing case files and deadlines.
