Job Title: MDM Functional Consultant / Functional Manager

The MDM Functional Consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to define, implement, and govern Master Data Management (MDM) solutions across critical data domains. This role requires deep functional expertise in MDM within the life sciences or medical device industry, along with strong client-facing and data governance experience.

Client Engagement & Business Analysis

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (commercial, sales, operations, quality, regulatory) and technical teams
• Lead workshops and interviews to gather business requirements and translate them into functional MDM specifications
• Perform gap analysis between current-state processes and future-state MDM solutions

MDM Solution Design & Implementation

• Design and document MDM functional components including data models, business rules, matching/merging logic, and survivorship criteria
• Define data quality rules and profiling requirements to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and system configuration
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test cases and resolving functional issues

Data Governance & Domain Expertise

• Enforce data governance standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, EFPIA)
• Maintain documentation for MDM processes, data standards, and operational procedures
• Provide best-practice guidance for managing master data domains such as HCP, HCO, Patient, Person, CAPA, Asset, and Products

Technical Collaboration

• Partner with ETL and data engineering teams using Informatica IICS for data mapping and transformations
• Collaborate with data warehousing teams using Snowflake and DBT for downstream analytics integration
• Coordinate with integration teams to define API and data service requirements using Web Methods and Enterprise Data Services (EDS)

Training & Support

• Develop and deliver training sessions for business users
• Provide ongoing functional support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

Experience

• 10+ years of experience as an MDM Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar role
• Proven experience in MDM implementations within life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments
• Hands-on experience with at least two MDM domains: HCP, HCO, Patient, Person, CAPA, Asset, or Products
• Experience with major MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, or SAP MDG

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)
• Experience with Snowflake and DBT for data warehousing and transformations
• Familiarity with Web Methods and Enterprise Data Services (EDS)
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
