Must have

  • A minimum of 11 years of experience in the insurance or financial domain, utilizing ALIP or other insurance administration systems.
  • Strong understanding of policy administration platforms such as ALIP, Guidewire, Proformex, Majesco, FAST, iPipeline, and OIPA.
  • Preferred 8-10 years of general supervisory experience.
  • A bachelor's degree focused on finance or a related field.
  • An advanced degree (MA) in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • I develop capability roadmaps that leverage financial expertise by collaborating with various teams.
  • I evaluate targeted solutions to ensure they align with architectural standards and best practices pertaining to ALIP capabilities.
  • I provide techno-functional guidance in both tactical and strategic planning for demand, capacity, and evolution of capabilities.
  • I collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect to prioritize and implement new architectures.
  • I maintain shared models, diagrams, and documentation to effectively convey the technical architecture, ensuring compliance with established patterns and standards.
  • I ensure that IT spending aligns with business goals and strategies while translating ambiguity into tangible business results.
  • I provide financial guidance for Annuity products within ALIP-related projects and ensure the systems within the capability are effectively utilized.
  • I contribute to Capability Road mapping and advocate for Target Capability Maturity Models, including necessary changes in technical, staffing, and financial processes.
  • I participate in the annual budgeting cycle, filtering and prioritizing technology projects for the ALIP capability.
  • I lead technology surveys to assess changes in the insurance administration system marketplace.
  • I analyze the current capability portfolio to identify weaknesses and work with the Enterprise Architecture on opportunities for improvement, such as expanding capacity and reducing complexity.
  • I provide technical guidance to Solution Engineers to aid in implementing intricate financial calculations within the ALIP administration system.
  • I develop both conceptual and detailed architectural plans that focus on achieving defined business value within ALIP capabilities.
  • I define, evaluate, and test Enterprise Architecture patterns while establishing Capability standards.
  • I implement strategic plans to address complex business challenges, optimizing performance and enhancing outcomes through analytical skills.
  • I lead and mentor capability architects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • I build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders for effective collaboration.
  • I contribute to the adoption and integration of cloud technology and AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
