Job Overview

Fairview Health Services seeks applicants for Data Engineer at its location in Minneapolis, MN.

• Implementation, maintenance and architecture of the MHealth Fairview data environment, leveraging data tools to acquire, restructure, and store enterprise data in a data warehouse and data marts.
• Plan, design and deploy enterprise data strategies by analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
• Support Fairview’s partnership with major academic institution focusing on healthcare research.

• Master’s degree in Technology Management, Computer Science, Data Engineering or related, plus 3 years experience (or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years exp.) in healthcare data engineering to include:
  Epic Data Models (Caboodle, Cogito, Clarity, Clinical)
• Experience with C, C++;
  Java, Python, RDBMS (Oracle, MS Access, MySql, Postgre
  
  SQL)
• Experience performing Oracle to Microsoft SQL mappings
• Experience with No
  
  SQL databases (Hbase, Cassandra)
• Experience with Big Data Ecosystem utilizing Hadoop, Map Reduce, Hive, Pig, Oozie, Sqoop, Kafka, Spark
• Experience with ETL and data integration tools (IBM Data Stage, DBeaver, ER/Studio for data modeling and transformation; experience developing ETL Flow Dashboards for data pipeline monitoring and reporting)
• Experience with Power BI Development, creating interactive reports and dashboards for data visualization and analytics
• Interpreting statistical reliability and data quality within healthcare datasets
• Experience supporting clinical research initiatives
• Experience with Epic data integration; ETL processes; data validation

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
