• Own the architecture:
  Define and steward cohesive, enterprise‑grade architectures for complex B2B and B2C solutions—from concept and design through implementation, launch, and scale.
• Lead full product life cycles:
  Drive discovery, design, and production release using both agile and waterfall practices as appropriate; enforce quality, security, reliability, and operability throughout.
• Research & prototype:
  Evaluate emerging technologies, create proof‑of‑concepts, and recommend the right toolsets and patterns to advance product capabilities.
• Build for performance:
  Design for high throughput and low latency; optimize compute, I/O, and data movement across distributed systems and networks.
• Elevate the engineering craft:
  Mentor engineers and establish standards, patterns, and practices that grow technical proficiency and inclusive team culture.
• Partner across functions:
  Translate business objectives into technical roadmaps; collaborate with product, data, security, and delivery leaders to align strategy and execution.

• Significant experience designing and delivering production systems across product engineering, enterprise architecture, and software development.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams through full lifecycle delivery of complex, customer‑facing solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to prototype, validate, and scale new technologies and patterns.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; thrives in hands‑on technical work while guiding teams and stakeholders.
• Commitment to inclusion and team growth; creates environments where engineers level up and deliver their best work.

• Web & Mobile (full‑stack):
  Modern front‑ends, APIs, and back‑end services
• Cloud services & architecture:
  Cloud‑native design, microservices, serverless, event‑driven systems
• IoT & edge:
  Distributed devices, mesh networking, real‑time data flows
• AI/ML:
  Applied machine learning, neural networks, and cognitive services for intelligent features

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the pay range is $160 to $190/HR. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
