B Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday–Wednesday, every other Thursday (12-hour rotating shifts in a 24x7 environment).
The Factory IT Support Specialist is part of a global wafer systems Factory IT Support team within a larger IT organization. This role supports mission-critical manufacturing systems in a 24x7 environment by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting factory PCs, software, and infrastructure to maximize uptime and ensure compliance with global IT and security standards.
Factory IT Operations & Support- Provide onsite factory IT help desk support during 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Install, configure, and maintain Factory PCs in accordance with factory standards.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents related to factory IT systems and applications.
- Record, track, and resolve tickets with timely customer feedback.
- Monitor alerts, service availability, and performance dashboards, responding with appropriate actions and escalations.
- Follow established troubleshooting guides (OCAPs) to resolve common application issues.
- Escalate or redirect issues to global IT support teams as required, providing regular updates.
- Perform security patching of factory systems to address vulnerabilities.
- Maintain compliance with information security initiatives including endpoint inventory, antivirus, and Windows patching.
- Adhere to desktop software license management procedures.
- Support and implement changes to factory PCs and systems in alignment with global IT standards and policies.
- Support wafer floor factory software and solutions hosted on factory PCs and in data centers.
- Provide IT support for planned maintenance activities at manufacturing sites.
- Assist with under-floor cabling in FABs to support new tool deployments and equipment movements.
- Participate in global projects to enhance and upgrade factory systems.
- Develop small-scale scripting and automation solutions as needed.
- Leverage GenAI tools to help develop and improve IT solutions.
- Interface with global IT organizations to ensure compliance with factory IT standards.
- Offer flexibility to cover additional shifts when required.
- Engage professionally with multiple customers simultaneously on complex technical issues.
- PC setup, installation, and maintenance
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
- PC, software, and application troubleshooting
- Prior experience in help desk or application support
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- IT support experience in a factory or manufacturing environment
- Experience with Service/Request Management tools (Service Now, Freshworks, JIRA, etc.)
- Coding or scripting skills
- Project execution involving IT systems
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Proactive, service-oriented mindset

- Willingness to work rotating day/night 12-hour shifts
