This role is for a Senior Database Administrator with over 8 years of IT experience, focusing on Oracle and SQL Server. It offers a hybrid work model in Minneapolis, a contract longer than 6 months, and a pay rate of $47–$57 per hour.

Trissential is seeking a Senior DBA to join its OT DBA team supporting Energy Services, including Distribution, Transmission, and Nuclear business areas. The position is hybrid, with 3 days onsite in downtown Minneapolis and 2 days remote.

• Manage and support multiple database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL).
• Perform performance tuning, patching, database builds, backup/recovery, and ensure business continuity.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Korn Shell, Power Shell, T‑SQL, PL/SQL.
• Partner with application support teams on projects of all sizes and durations.
• Serve as a diagnostician and solution provider for data, information, and business process‑related analysis.
• Incorporate data governance into daily activities and enable data‑driven decisions.
• Provide expertise in data integration, insights, trends, and solution recommendations.
• Participate in on‑call rotation (every 4 weeks, 7‑day coverage).
• Use Service Now to manage and fulfill requests.

• 8 + years of IT experience or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle (12c, 19c, 21c) and SQL Server (2014–2022) administration.
• Expertise in backup/recovery, performance tuning, clustering, and failover.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL and MySQL database administration.
• Strong scripting skills (Korn Shell, Power Shell, T‑SQL, PL/SQL).
• Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, replication technologies, Oracle ASM, RAC, and Data Guard.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with machine learning, BI solutions, and predictive modeling.
• Knowledge of distributed computing, data visualization, and data architecture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business, or related field.
• Microsoft or Oracle certifications preferred (OCP, Microsoft SQL Server).

• Competitive compensation: $79,000–$99,000 annually or $47–$57 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
