Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a senior cloud engineer with expertise in modern cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and security. This role partners across the organization to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that increase agility, flexibility, and durability.

Senior Cloud Engineer responsibilities include implementing and refining public cloud infrastructure, primarily in GCP, collaborating with engineers and developers to deploy new workloads and refactor existing workloads to meet industry and business best practices, and developing systems, tools, and infrastructure to enable faster and more consistent use of public cloud resources.

• Working under the direction of the IT Manager, implement and refine public cloud computing infrastructure, primarily in GCP. Actively participate with other engineers and developers to implement new workloads in public cloud and refactor existing workloads to meet industry and business best practices. Develop systems, tools, and infrastructure that enable teams engaging with public cloud resources to move faster and more consistently to promote growth and innovation.

• Participate in root cause analysis, compliance and audit reviews, and on-call support rotations.
• Collaborate with developers, SREs, information security analysts, and the business to ensure infrastructure aligns with best practices in security, compliance, and performance.

• 7+ years experience in cloud engineering role.
• 10+ years total industry experience, spanning any of IaC, systems engineering, cloud engineering/support, networking, Dev Ops, software development, or SRE.
• Expert level proficiency with Terraform, including writing custom modules and familiarity with complementary tools.
• Strong experience with cloud identity and access management / IdP integrations, secrets management, least privilege, and security best practices.
• Advanced understanding of networking concepts (e.g.; BGP, hybrid connectivity, cloud-on-prem integrations, load balancing.)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-prem to cloud.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working in an “agile-like” environment.
• Strong time management skills.

• Proactively communicates with others and demonstrates clear presentation and communication skills.
• Multi-cloud experience in AWS, GCP, and Azure a plus.
• Experience architecting and operating systems under compliance or regulatory frameworks a plus.

• bachelor s degree (preferred)

• Cloud certifications and training in AWS, GCP, Azure are a plus.

• Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise (less than 10%).
• Ability to work remote or onsite in Corporate location. This includes being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
• Ability to work in a setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
• Must be able to meet critical thinking and problem solving aspects aligned to job duties, as well as effectively communicating with co-workers.
• Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant. Accommodations related to schedule may be considered.
• Participate in end-to-end root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews.
• Participate in compliance and security audits/reviews.
• Engage in 24x7 on-call rotation.
