Position: Business Systems Analyst I

Company Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Are you an Informational Technology professional with exposure or some experience with Asset Management, Service Management and Change Management processes? If you are, then we would like you to consider starting your career with us at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Our Technology team is looking for an IT Service Management (ITSM) Business Systems Analyst with some experience with Service Now and other skills listed below to join our ITSM team.

You will work with 2 others in support of the ITSM function in the 9th district. In your role, you will interact regularly with Desktop Support, along with both internal district and system stakeholders.

As a Business Systems Analyst you will provide day-to-day configuration, change and asset management functions along with overall support in managing the ITSM operation of the Federal Reserve’s Ninth District.

This is not a remote position and requires a regular on-site presence.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in formulating and defining computer systems scope and objectives through research and analysis of the department business systems and industry requirements.
  • Analyze business and user needs, documents requirements, and assist in revising existing systems and software as necessary to support the business environment.
  • Provide basic technical or production support and conducts routine maintenance and installation of software programs, computer systems and/or enhancements.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and conducting related software, system and end-user testing.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical problems and issues.
  • Respond to requests for information including developing basic ad-hoc reports and queries in databases and/or management information systems.
  • Provide analytic support to department management for business planning and decision-making.
  • Assist with developing and revising procedures, defining processes, and delivering training to users.
  • May serve as liaison to Technology Division and programming staff.
  • Stay current in technology best practices, demonstrate initiative, accountability and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of higher education and/or relevant work experience OR Associate degree and 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Current or recent relevant experience in the Federal Reserve Bank System.
  • Ability to take initiative and accountability in completing tasks.
  • Capability to identify and resolve technical problems efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks as requested or based on critical needs.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Asset Management, Service Management and Change Management processes.
  • Experience with Service Now.
Additional Information

Starting salary will be between $56,300.00 up to $70,375.00. Full Salary Range for Business Systems Analyst I job profile: $56,300- $70,375- $84,500 Annual. Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
