Overview
The Microsoft Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and operational tooling within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role will partner closely with development, security, and operations teams to create reliable, repeatable, and secure delivery practices while contributing to the optimization of our Azure environment and Dev Ops culture.
Responsibilities- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, including automated builds, releases, and environment provisioning.
- Manage Azure cloud resources, infrastructure-as-code templates (ARM/Bicep/Terraform), networking, identity, storage, and monitoring solutions.
- Implement and maintain configuration management and deployment automation using Power Shell, Azure CLI, YAML pipelines, and Git repositories.
- Support .NET, SQL Server, and API-based application deployments into Azure App Services, Kubernetes (AKS), or containerized environments.
- Collaborate with developers to standardize build/release processes and ensure successful, reliable deployments.
- Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and dashboards for proactive system health management.
- Partner with security teams to enforce Dev Sec Ops best practices, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, Azure Key Vault usage, and compliance alignment.
- Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues, support incident response, and drive root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, ACR, Storage, Networking, IAM, Functions).
- Expertise with Azure Dev Ops (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts).
- Proficiency in Power Shell, Azure CLI, and scripting for automation.
- Experience with Git, YAML-based pipeline development, and version control best practices.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AKS/Kubernetes).
- Background in Windows and Linux server administration, CI/CD architecture, and cloud security fundamentals.
- Understanding of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of Dev Ops, cloud engineering, or related experience in Microsoft environments.
- Industry certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, or equivalent knowledge are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner across development, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- Hybrid work environment with a combination of remote and on-site collaboration, depending on organizational needs.
- Fast-paced, highly collaborative setting that involves cross-functional coordination.
- May require occasional off-hours work during system updates.
- Standard office hours with flexibility as needed to support operations.
Target base compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include job-specific skills, education, training, location, and related experience.
