Data Analyst, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst
A Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for delivering both production support and project initiatives. This role involves defining scope, gathering and refining business requirements, and working closely with internal teams, vendors, and technology partners to ensure successful implementation and alignment across stakeholders.
Leverage strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects, perform data and reporting analysis, deliver timely and accurate documentation, and ensure clear communication across project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Represent business and provide expertise on project initiatives; identify business requirements, assess design and process specifications, create accurate documentation, drive progress against project plan, and provide timely updates across our organization throughout the life of the project.
- Monitor and evaluate potential business-driven or regulatory changes that may impact the organization, assisting leadership in setting strategic direction, prioritizing initiatives, and implementing changes through appropriate change control processes.
- Act as liaison between business units, technology, and external vendors; establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization or with external firms and vendors.
- Lead and facilitate issue resolution to support project progress and address production challenges, applying strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills to drive solutions forward.
- Provide support to the Trading Organization with ownership of release management, working collaboratively with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth and timely deployments.
- Lead small to medium‑scale projects and provide documentation, status updates, testing and implementation.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of system architecture and design.
- Associate's Degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry.
- Experience with securities trading processes and tools.
- Ability to understand and apply technology as it relates to the business.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments while shifting priorities.
- Strong work ethic, high standards for accuracy and a high level of personal accountability.
- Knowledge of equity, option, or fixed income order management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑organizational efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills using data to identify trends and issues.
- Proficient in data analysis leveraging tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Denodo.
- History of working within a highly regulated environment.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Series 7 licensed.

The estimated base salary for this role is $66,000 – $92,000 per year. We have a pay‑for‑performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long‑term incentives depending on the role.
