Job Overview

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an experienced Compliance Analyst to support employment law compliance across a multi‑state workforce. This role focuses on HR compliance, employment regulations, audits, investigations, and risk management, partnering closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure consistent application of company policies and federal, state, and local labor laws.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in HR compliance, employment law, audits, and regulatory reporting within high‑volume or frontline work environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, paid leave, background checks, drug testing, licensing, and record retention.
  • Conduct HR and payroll compliance audits, including scheduling, timekeeping, and employee relations processes.
  • Track, analyze, and document compliance risks, trends, and corrective actions.
  • Support employee investigations, policy violations, and regulatory or agency inquiries.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining HR policies, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as a compliance resource for field leadership on proper policy interpretation and application.
  • Partner with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure data accuracy and regulatory alignment.
  • Prepare compliance reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Support internal and external audits, including client and government agency reviews.
  • Assist with compliance training and communication initiatives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, employment law, risk management, or a related role.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws, including multi‑state compliance.
  • Experience with HR audits, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, document management tools, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a multi‑state or high‑volume workforce.
  • Experience with wage and hour audits, regulatory reporting, or agency investigations.
  • SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or compliance‑related certification.
  • Experience working in union environments or with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
Physical Requirements

Work Environment

Professional office environment with occasional travel to field locations as needed.
