Sky Water is supporting a large, well-established restaurant group in identifying a strategic, relationship-driven Field HR Manager to support talent and operations across the Midwest. This role is ideal for an HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi‑unit environment and is energized by influencing leaders, developing talent, and elevating the employee experience.

The Field HR Manager acts as a trusted HR business partner to Operations leadership across approximately 100 locations throughout the region. This person will lead talent strategies, support workforce planning, manage complex employee relations matters, and drive learning and development initiatives that strengthen culture and performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong multi‑unit HR experience, exceptional coaching abilities, and a passion for building strong partnerships with operators at all levels.

This role is based in Minneapolis and requires significant travel across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Operations leadership, advising on people strategy, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead succession planning and talent mobility efforts; assess internal talent pipelines and participate in panel interviews to ensure alignment and readiness.
  • Conduct regular field visits to understand operational needs, identify retention opportunities, and implement measurable improvement plans.
  • Coach leaders on associate relations and conduct timely, thorough investigations with sound documentation and judgment.
  • Support workforce planning efforts to meet regional growth and staffing demands.
  • Participate in recruiting events, interviews, and onboarding activities to ensure strong talent and cultural alignment.
  • Guide leaders through performance management processes, ensuring fair, consistent, and growth-oriented feedback practices.
  • Partner closely with Learning & Development to deliver training sessions and assess ongoing development needs across the region.
Desired Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of combined HR and Operations experience, including employee relations, training & development, recruiting, and people management (multi‑unit/field experience preferred).
  • Ability to travel regionally 25–50% (no weekends or holidays).
  • Strong relationship‑builder with the ability to influence, coach, and support leaders at all levels.
