The opportunity

Delaware North Sport service is hiring for a full-time Catering Event Coordinator to join our team at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Catering Event Coordinator, you will work with fellow team members and clients to plan and execute events at Target Field. You will use your organizational and time management skills to create lasting memories for guests attending a variety of events.

What will you do?
  • Maintains all billing and post event billing
  • Communicates with controller, all billing related issues
  • Works with the Minnesota Twins/Target Field Events TFE and assists with event planning and menu selection. Creating of MN Twins proposals and contracts. Follow up with client.
  • Works directly with Minnesota Twins TFE event staff ensuring accuracy of floor plans and set up needs, outside vendors, etc.
  • Oversee service of staff once the events starts
  • Responds to issues, concerns, and opportunities with a sense of urgency
  • Assists Catering Manager with quarterly inventory
More about you
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of budgetary practices for events preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Degree in Hospitality preferred but not required
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in administative or office position, including experience with office administrative procedures, use and operation of standard office equipment
Physical requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time and occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and kneel
