Safety Training Modernization Lead

Monday–Friday, 8‑hour day between 7:00 am–5:00 pm

The Safety Training Lead supports the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team by executing initiatives to modernize and standardize safety training programs. This role focuses on updating content, building training frameworks, and ensuring compliance and audit readiness within a complex R&D and pilot plant environment.
Responsibilities- Modernize and update approved safety training content to align with current standards
- Develop and maintain role‑, task‑, and area‑based safety training matrices
- Conduct training inventories, gap analyses, and content rationalization
- Apply risk‑based prioritization aligned with regulatory and serious incident requirements
- Partner with HSE, Learning & Development, IT, and subject matter experts to execute initiatives
- Support training governance, documentation standards, and system readiness
- Ensure documentation quality, consistency, and audit preparedness
- Associate degree, or high school diploma with 5+ years of directly related experience
- Experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and/or Environmental roles
- Background working in manufacturing, pilot plant, and/or laboratory environments
- Understanding of hazard‑based safety training concepts
- Experience developing, updating, or managing training content
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
- Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and work independently
- High attention to detail with strong documentation practices
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and functions
