Overview

What will you be doing?

As a Full Line Associate Sales Representative, you will be responsible for supporting the Trauma, Reconstruction, and Sports Medicine Sales team within an assigned territory with installations, troubleshooting and maintenance, demo inventory setup and customer in-service. Other responsibilities may include transporting customer inventory between accounts and covering surgical cases for sales reps within certain accounts. You will study technical information and surgical procedures in our Orthopaedics product portfolio specializing in solutions for internal and external fixation to restore the function of the injured body part(s) quickly and effectively.

The territory you will support will manage a 24/7 call rotation within the team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting the sales team in territory installations, troubleshooting and maintenance, demo inventory setup, and customer in-service. Cover surgical cases for sales reps within designated accounts. Study technical information and surgical procedures related to Smith and Nephew Orthopaedics portfolio, with a focus on solutions for internal and external fixation to restore function quickly and effectively.

What will you need to be successful?

The foundation of your success relies on your technical expertise in the Smith and Nephew Orthopaedics portfolio as well as your ability to build positive relationships with surgeons and hospital personnel while assisting and training them on the proper use and care of product equipment. You will support the Sales Representative to generate revenue and meet/exceed the territory’s quota.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years of sales experience
  • Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMS/Paramedic
  • Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
  • Experience leading/mentoring team members

Travel Requirements: within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.

All field sales professionals required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform their role must successfully complete our credentialling process, which may include COVID-19 vaccine management.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $ USD annually. The actual base pay offered will be based on factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, location, and internal equity. This role is eligible for sales commission and incentives based on targets. We provide competitive bonus and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k and related programs, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.
