SummaryThe Medical Materiel Specialist II will work independently at single‑location sites and provide management oversight of onsite contractor staff, coordinating logistics activities with base organizations, units, and government agencies. The role ensures the overall readiness and availability of unit ECMM (Expeditionary Contingency Medical Materiel), including general medical materiel management and warehouse activities.
Responsibilities- Logistical oversight and inventory management of the 27 CBRN Response Enterprise to ensure precise SLEP/DMLSS statistics and communicate all SLEP related updates to affected units, AFMED, and NGB/SGX.
- Conduct monthly reviews and provide monthly reports to the COR on SLEP and DMLSS inventory records to ensure accuracy and program compliance.
- Function as Logical SLEP coordinator.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Track and document the usage of medical materials.
- Assist in the procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
- Manage program oversight, effective communication at all levels, integrated collaboration, and strategic readiness reporting.
- Work independently at single‑location sites and provide management oversight of onsite contractor staff.
- Coordinate logistics activities with base organizations, units, and government agencies.
- Ensure overall readiness and availability of unit ECMM, including general medical materiel management and warehouse activities.
- Serve as the vendor‑contracted Air National Guard (ANG) Influenza Program Manager, responsible for logistical oversight and management of the influenza vaccination program.
- Act as the focal point between the Surgeon General and ANG Medical Groups regarding the influenza program.
- Perform program management and oversight of medical materiel operations.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate in an integrated manner with stakeholders.
- Provide strategic readiness reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Associate’s Degree or higher or eight years of medical logistics field experience with six years of specialized medical materiel management experience.
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
- Travel may be required for this position.
- Advanced degree in a related field, preferred.
The hourly salary range for this position is $16.12 to $20.14.
