Children’s Minnesota has the largest Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Minnesota. The 30-bed PICU at Minneapolis Campus provides advanced care for children with life‑threatening critical diagnoses, including respiratory failure, neurological insults, complex post‑operative recovery, severe infections, fluid imbalances and multi‑system organ failure. The PICU cares for children who have experienced trauma and many require assisted ventilation, ECMO and CRRT. The interdisciplinary team balances highly technical skill with family‑centered care and promotes learning and growth.
PositionSummary
Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintains equipment and supplies per unit standard.
Education- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English to perform functions of the position.
- Skills in basic computer operation.
