Pharmacy Technician; Advanced Practice - Retail

Hours:

80 hours bi-weekly

Schedule:

day/evening, rotating weekends

This position will provide functional leadership and support for the pharmacy, under the direction of a pharmacist. Provide customer service. Assist in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies. Handle cash register transactions. Receive patient prescriptions. Unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy in proper order.

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as assigned.
• Assist customers with prescriptions and/or other products
• Assist in maintenance of the pharmacy to reflect a clean and well-stocked condition on a daily basis.
• Handle cash register transactions accurately.
• Process prescription information in the computer system
• Assist in inventory control functions

• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
  • Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.
  • Communicates in a respective manner.
  • Ensures a safe, secure environment.
  • Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
  • Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
  • Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
• Fulfills all organizational requirements
  • Completes all required learning relevant to the role
  • Complies with all relevant laws, regulation and policies

• Six Months Pharmacy Technician Experience

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)

• Graduate of a pharmacy technician program

• Previous Pharmacy or Medical Experience

• Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting.
