Position Overview

Working with the Program Manager or Program Director, this position is responsible for providing support to clinical staff. This position is temporary in nature and could be utilized between internship completion and licensure approval. The Clinical Support role must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Required:

  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must be able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Possess maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering individuals and work with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working knowledge in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental health
  • Physical Demands:
    Sitting for extended periods of time. Daily use of computer, phone, and other office equipment. Lifting (max 10 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor Degree or in the process of obtaining within 6 months.
  • Experience with utilization of electronic medical records inputting data associated with admissions process.
  • Competent computer skills and able to effectively enter information in various systems
