Role Description

This is a full-time/part-time on-site role located in the the Minneapolis area for a Direct Support Professional. The position involves providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them with daily living activities, facilitating community engagement, and promoting their independence. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and supportive environment, implementing individualized support plans, assisting with personal care and hygiene as needed, and fostering social and recreational interactions.

You will be a vital part of the team, working closely with residents to enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in Human Services and supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and effective Communication skills to build rapport and collaborate with residents, families, and team members.
• Willingness to engage in Training and ongoing professional development to ensure quality care and support.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to person-centered care.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
