Job Summary
Southdale ObGyn is seeking to fill an opening for our Ultrasound department, a part‑time sonographer. This opening requires commuting to different locations within the week, which will be highlighted below.
Duties include capturing and interpreting images, identifying and monitoring obstetric and gynecologic patients using ultrasound equipment. The technician, in conjunction with our physicians, also assists in the interpretation of ultrasound images to diagnose and monitor the development and health of the fetus, and imaging of the fetal heart. The technician will perform ultrasounds to detect any abnormalities or disease. The successful candidate will ensure high‑quality and complete images and will produce accurate, well‑documented reports.
The ability to work in a healthcare team and meet a high standard of patient care are important. Requirements include a degree from an accredited college or university with a ultrasound technician degree or associate degree in sonography. Must be credentialed with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience working in ObGyn and must be adept at using ultrasound equipment.
The ability to work independently, provide compassionate patient care, and work in a healthcare team are required.
