SUMMARY
Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technologist, Senior for a night shift (Mon‑Thu, 11:00pm – 7:30am). This part‑time position (0.8 FTE) offers a $5.00 shift differential and an eligible $10,000 sign‑on bonus for external candidates.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams and prepare rooms for procedures.
- Review and verify exam requests to ensure the correct exam is ordered for the patient.
- Interview patients and review clinical data from charts to alert providers of contraindications.
- Explain exam procedures to patients and families.
- Prepare and administer oral and/or IV contrast per department protocols.
- Demonstrate correct anatomic positioning, exposure factors, and ALARA principles.
- Evaluate images, identify normal and abnormal anatomy, and notify the appropriate radiologist.
- Perform quality exams, adhere to positioning protocols, and use the PACS system to acquire, format, and archive images.
- Accurately report the total number of images taken and reasons for repeats.
- Assist physicians and residents with radiology exams and procedures.
- Utilize EPIC system appropriately for orders, scheduling, documentation, and billing.
- Implement downtime procedures when computer systems or equipment fail.
- Instruct new staff and students in imaging procedures and techniques.
- Complete competency test‑outs and provide ongoing feedback to the Student Coordinator.
- Assist with the education and training of medical staff (radiology residents, fellows, etc.).
- Maintain equipment and rooms in proper working condition, troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, and report repairs promptly.
- Perform clerical duties, quality control procedures, and help organize workflow using available staff and rooms.
- Participate in departmental continuing education in‑services and provide peer feedback for staff performance evaluations.
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned and follow hospital policy for handling medications.
- Completion of a formal educational Radiologic Technology program accredited by an acceptable mechanism (e.g., ARRT).
- Currently certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Maintain minimum continuous education unit (CEU) credits required by the ARRT.
- Possess current CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Two years’ experience as a Radiology Technologist (for Senior level).

Pay ranges: $35.68 – 49.59 per hour.
