Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of specialty experience and BLS/ARRT certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient hospital Interventional Radiology unit within a Level III Trauma, Magnet, and teaching facility
- Perform a daily caseload of approximately 9 procedures per technologist
- Cases include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, vascular and venous access, neurological, peripheral, abdominal/pelvic, and genitourinary studies
- Experience with extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and upper/lower extremity X-ray procedures required
- Day shift Monday to Friday, starting at 8:00 or 8:30 AM, 40 hours per week
- On-call required as needed, up to 0-4 times per month, with additional on-call strictly elective
- No floating required outside of the Interventional Radiology unit
- EMR system is Epic/Excellian
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Travelers must not have worked as perm staff or per diem within the last 3 months
- No more than 5 days of requested time off are allowed during the contract
- Locals are accepted with no radius restriction for radiology roles
- Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55 per hour
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Experience in inpatient, operating room, emergency room, and interventional radiology settings required
- Proficiency in a wide range of IR and special procedures as described in job details
- Familiarity with Epic/Excellian charting preferred
- Pending state license accepted where applicable
- At least one supervisor reference required for consideration
- License required if applicable
