Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and reliable Certified Phlebotomist to join our client’s clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy experience with both adult and pediatric patients, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine phlebotomy procedures for adult and pediatric patients
- Accurately distinguish specimen types and follow correct order of draw for laboratory testing
- Perform finger‑stick collections as required
- Verify patient identity using two approved patient identifiers
- Navigate the laboratory information system (LIS) with minimal to no errors
- Maintain a workflow pace of approximately 4–6 patients per hour
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards, including:
- Proper handwashing techniques
- Aseptic techniques
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and lab coats
- Proper disposal of sharps and hazardous materials
- Demonstrate understanding of emergency and disaster response responsibilities
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare staff
- Function as an effective team member alongside physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Travel to assigned draw stations as needed and perform all job‑related tasks
- Troubleshoot LIS‑related issues and collaborate with the LIS team for resolution
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy Certification required
- Experience with pediatric and adult blood draws
- Strong knowledge of infection control, safety practices, and laboratory procedures
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced clinical setting
- Reliable transportation for travel between locations
- Clinical laboratory and outpatient draw station settings
- No in‑home patient visits
- Single location per work shift (no multi‑location shifts in one day)
$24.34 per hour
