Patient Care Technician – DaVita Kidney Care

Base Pay Range: $18.00/hr - $27.50/hr

DaVita is looking for a Patient Care Tech to serve our patients at our Bloomington Dialysis Center in Bloomington, MN. We will train you!

  Monday - Saturday, 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• PCTs usually work 10-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days a week.
• Hours of work may vary during the training period; you will typically be working 32-40 hours per week during training.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Paid training: a robust, paid training program (classroom and hands‑on).
• Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license.
• Career progression: clear paths to higher levels (PCT II, PCT III).
• Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic with other new teammates.

• Desire to enter the healthcare field and care for people in need.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working around blood, needles, acid, and bicarbonate.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some 12+ hour shifts) on your feet.
• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory.
• Health‑care experience preferred: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Phlebotomy certification.

• Direct patient care: majority in one‑on‑one care, up to 4 patients at a time.
• Technician duties: monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis; measure and record stats; patient observations; dialysis machine set‑up.
• Continuous improvement: contribute to process improvement.
• Long‑term relationships with patients (end‑stage renal disease; treatments 3× per week). Educate patients on dialysis topics.
• Cross‑functional team: clinicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, leadership. PCTs work under RN supervision.
