This position is an overnight shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am) and must float between Chaska and Waconia.

The role is responsible for continuous bedside monitoring to ensure patient safety for those at risk of harming themselves through line pulling, falling, wandering, or other behaviors.

• Remain at the patient’s bedside, providing continuous observation and intervention under RN direction.
• Offer verbal redirection, orientation, hand‑holding, diversion activities (imagery, storytelling, reading, game play, towel folding), feeding and fluids, assistance with toileting, ambulation, repositioning, and preventing line pulling.
• Document patient behaviors, cares, interventions, and responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Accompany patients and guarantee safety during transportation, testing, and procedures away from the normal environment.
• Conduct regular room assessments, including after visitations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Direct patient care experience.
• Nursing Assistant or EMT certification.

• Ability to maintain required background checks in alignment with position functions.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Accurate reporting of observed changes in behavior and/or condition to the RN.
• Responsive to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.

• BLS certification within 60 days of employment.

Compensation is determined by position requirements, experience, education, and skills, as well as location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include shift, weekend, or other differentials.
