Base pay range
$23.63/hr - $34.58/hr
Brief Description
This role involves performing a variety of patient care activities, assisting providers and performing diagnostic lab procedures.
Job Functions (Nursing support)
- Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure
- Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients
- Performs room turnover in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day
- Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary
- Assists with patient education
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Functions (Lab)
- Maintains stocked supplies and inventory
- Sterilizes instruments, exam rooms and equipment
- Performs testing procedures as required
- Prepares procedure room/area and instructs patients
- Troubleshoots and maintains equipment
- Completes daily QA/QC procedures and provides maintenance/adjustments to equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Education / Experience / Licensure
- Graduation from Medical Assisting Program or School of Practical Nursing
- Graduate of clinical laboratory program and/or ability to display and complete job competencies
- Current LPN Licensure or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Assistant (RMA) (LPNs have 1 year to become certified to maintain employment)
- Current CPR certification

- Ability to multi‑task
- Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Capable of making independent decisions using good critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
- Ability to communicate in English for effective written and verbal correspondence
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Lab)
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with lab testing, equipment, patient samples, and kits
- Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems
Preferred Qualifications
- EMR experience
Compensation
Many factors are considered when determining compensation, including position requirements, experience, education, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity. Pay listed does not include shift, weekend, or other differential pay.
