Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a day shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of IR and X-ray experience along with ARRT and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in an inpatient interventional radiology unit within a short-term acute care hospital
- Daily caseload averages 9 cases per technologist
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripheral interventions, drainages, and vascular/genitourinary/neurological studies
- Experience in diagnostic X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, upper and lower extremities is required
- Magnet-designated, teaching, Level III trauma center
- Uses Excellian/Epic EMR system
- Day shifts Monday through Friday, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, averaging 40 hours per week
- On-call required as needed, with 0-5 assignments per month; additional call is elective
- No floating required outside department
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- Locals are accepted with no radius restrictions for this role
- Maximum of 5 days of time off is permitted during the contract
- Must have been absent for at least 3 months if previously employed as a permanent staff or per diem
- Staff parking is available at a flat hourly rate
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in interventional radiology and diagnostic X-ray procedures
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Experience in inpatient, operating room, ER, and interventional radiology settings required
- Proficiency performing a variety of IR procedures including vascular and neurological studies
- Familiarity with Epic/Excellian EMR system preferred
- Pending state license accepted if applicable
- One supervisor reference required for consideration
